Jacqueline Dubel, Senior Buyer
Working at Shin-Etsu since 2010
What is so attractive in working at Shin-Etsu?
“Shin-Etsu is a large, international company, but compact in the Netherlands. It means we can do our work reasonably autonomously. As a buyer I find it attractive we can conduct our own policy and procedures, in line with the general policy of Shin-Etsu of course."
What are you most proud of in your career at Shin-Etsu?
“The knowledge and experience I have built up over the years. In addition to my own professional knowledge, I know a lot about our factories. I am well informed about all kinds of processes, including technical ones, without having any specific training for them. If someone wants to know something, they often come to me with their questions. "Jacq always knows everything," you often hear. That is not always easy or pleasant, but I do consider it a nice compliment."
Which three characteristics should convince someone to apply for a job at Shin-Etsu?
“Shin-Etsu is a compact organization that stands open for your professional input. From management to operators, everyone is very approachable. You will be given all the opportunities to develop yourself.”
What opportunities has Shin-Etsu offered you?
“A lot of autonomy in my work. The fact that Shin-Etsu is a small organization means that you can perform your work independently. It is also easier to collaborate with and across departments than within a larger organization. ”
